Basi Bhaat

* Basi- Bhaat (stale rice soaked in water). Basi Bhaat is also known as Panta Bhaat in West Bengal. Basi Bhaat is basically eaten in West Bengal. It is customary to eat stale rice there.

There is a festival too (Basant Panchami) to it stale rice. After eating, the remaining rice is kept in water so that it does not spoil, then it is eaten the next day. There are also some unique ways of eating it. Added a few drops of mustard oil and salt to the rice and have it with onion and fried garlic. 

Well everyone eats it in their own way.

* Ghooghni Mudi, is also a food combo that is famous in West Bengal. Ghoogni is a dish that is made with dry yellow peas and is eaten with Mudi (puffed rice).


Chai-Roti/Paratha

*Chai-Roti (chapati with tea), tea is used to be drunk for refreshment. Sometimes it is also taken with biscuits or snacks. But in India, tea is taken in some bizarre way also. One such way is Chai-Roti.

Chapati/Paratha deep in the tea and eaten. It sounds bizarre but famous all over India.


Ghooghni Mudi

* Ghooghni-bread, In many parts of India, Ghooghni is eaten with bread. Normally bread is eaten with a different spread like butter, jam, chocolate spread, mayonnaise, etc. 

But eating bread with Ghooghni (a dish made with dried peas) is an Indian desi style.

* Ghughni Seo, Seo is a fried snack made with gram flour. Ghughni Seo is an Indian street food and can be found on many Streets in India. Here, it is eaten with great interest.

* Sattu Mudi, Sattu is not a bizarre food when it is taken like Sharbat. Sattu Sharbat is a very common food in India but it becomes bizarre when it is eaten with Mudi (Puffed rice) or Chuda (Flatern rice). Somebody adds sugar to it and somebody adds salt to it.
