Like other festivals, Christmas is also celebrated with great pump in India. A week before Christmas, shops in every city street are decorated with Christmas goods. Not only Christmas, but people of other communities and religions also celebrate this festival.

Children are given Christmas-related activities in schools like making a portrait of Santa Claus, decorating Christmas trees, making Christmas cards, drawing Santa Claus with a sled, etc. There is a Christmas holiday is observed all over India.

In India, Christmas is the name for night-long parties and enjoyment. Here Christmas is celebrated by forgetting all types of discrimination whether it is of rich and poor or of caste and religion. People who have more money, celebrate Christmas, by having night-long parties, and those who have less money, observe Christmas by eating Cakes and pastries but overall everyone enjoys this festival.

Here Christmas is not merely a festival but feelings and emotions. People come out of their homes and enjoy the festival even in extreme cold. Harsh winters cannot stop people from gathering outside.

Bakery shops, hotels, and restaurants improve their management for this occasion. Garment shops hang Santa-Claus costumes and caps outside their shops which attract children a lot. 

People buy sweets, Cakes, and chocolates to gift one another. Churches are decorated with lights and candles which attract people of all kinds. Thus Christmas is celebrated in India.
