Mohini Ekadashi, date, day, Muhurat, Rituals & Significance
Mohini Ekadashi falls on the Shukla Paksha (the bright fortnight of the Vaisakh month) in the lunar calendar i.e. 8th of May, Thursday.
Muhurat: The Mohini Ekadashi muhurat starts from 7th May, Wednesday, 10:20 a.m. and ends on 8 may, Thursday, 12:30 p.m.
Rituals and Significance
Mohini Ekadshi Vrat is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. This Ekadashi considered remove all sins of this birth and previous births.
On the day of Mohini Ekadashi, Tulsi Pujan (the worship of Tulsi plant) is considered must after worshiping of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Although, according to the scriptures, touching the Tulsi plant, offering water to it, or plucking its leaves considered prohibited on the Ekadashi day.
Tulsi ji must be worshipped without touching it. A Diya should be lighted with Desi Ghee in front of Tulsi ji. It removes the negativity from the house. Sindoor/ Kumkum also must be offered to her, by doing so one can get the blessings from Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu. Because Tulsi ji is considered a form of Goddess Lakshmi.
Apara Ekadashi, date, day, muhurat, rituals and significance
Apara Ekadashi is observed on the 11th day of the Krishna paksha (the dark fortnight) of Jyeshtha month i.e. 23rd of May, Friday.
Muhurat
The Apara Ekadashi muhurat starts from 23rd of May, Friday, 11:10 a.m. and ends on 23rd of May, Friday, 10:30 p.m.
The Parana time is on the Dvadashi Day, 7:20 p.m.
Riituals and Significance
"Apara" is a Sanskrit word which means 'limitless'.
The person who observe the fast of Apara Ekadshi, there is Apar Vriddhi (immense) increase in happiness and prosperity occurs in his life.
Devotees take a bath in the early morning, offer water, to the Sun god, worship Lord Vishnu, and goddess Lakshmi, and then Tulsi ji. Bhog is offered to Lord Vishnu with Tulsi leaves (is a must). In this way, they complete their worshipped rituals.
Donation is also given to the needy after worship.
