Lord Vishwakarma is considered the god of creation. It is said in the scriptures that Lord Vishwakarma created the entire Universe as per the instruction of Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh (Lord Shiva).

Apart from this, Indrasana (the throne of Indradev), and heaven were also created by Lord Vishwakarma. Moreover, the credit for the creation of Dwarka City (the place palace of Lord Krishna), and Indraprastha (the palace of Pandavas) also goes to Lord Vishwakarma.

Vishwakarma puja is celebrated annually in India. It is Mark the birth anniversary of Lord Vishwakarma. It is popularly celebrated among Hindus. It is observed on the date of Kanya Sankranti in the Hindu calendar. The day normally falls on the 17th of September every year but in some years it also falls on the 16 or 18th of September.

What should not be done on the day of Vishwakarma puja?

There is a provision for doing some work and not doing some work on the day of Vishwakarma puja. It is instructed by the Hindu priests to the people that do not use any kind of tools or equipment on that day, and do not let anyone else do so. One should not keep his tools and equipment here and there on this day. One should not consume non-veg and alcohol on this day. 

What should be done on the day of Vishwakarma puja?

There are certain tasks which if done on this day, give the benefits of this pooja. Such as the tools and weapons should be cleaned and placed in a clean place and should be worshipped considering them Lord Vishwakarma. Prasad and other food items or other things should be donated to the poor people or the Brahmins.

Iron things, electronic goods, machinery, and vehicles also should be worshipped. Celebrations

Vishwakarma puja is celebrated with immense enthusiasm, especially in industries and factories. The artisans, craftsmen, mechanics, smiths, welders, and the people who work in factories and industries celebrate this festival. The common people also celebrate this festival by worshipping their vehicles and electronic gadgets at home. A government holiday is declared throughout the country on this day. In this way, the festival is celebrated in India.
