Aloo Matar Sabji - Aloo (Potato) is a vegetable found in almost every Indian Kitchen. Potato is the pride and necessity of the Indian kitchen, and when it is mixed with Matar (peas), it prepares special and modest dishes.

Aloo Matar Sabji is made in homes as well as in restaurants. When it is cooked at home, it becomes traditional and modest, but when it is cooked in restaurants, it becomes special. 

Aalu Matar is cooked by adding Indian traditional spices like coriander, cumin, Garam Masala, Kasuri Methi, tomato, etc. Sometimes curd is also added to it to make it more delicious.


Palak paneer


Palak Paneer- Palak paneer is a delicious and nutritious food in India. Even though many Indians like to eat non-veg but actually, Indian culture and tradition are based on vegetables and fruits. That's why Indian veg dishes are well known in the entire world.

Palak (spinach) is the most nutritious of all vegetables. It reaches plenty of vitamins and iron. When it is cooked with paneer, it becomes more and more nutritious. Although it is not a traditional dish of India, it is liked by almost all Indians. It can be found in every restaurant.


Pithas

Pitha- Although Pitha is often made in many homes in India. It is a traditional dish that is made especially for the festival of Makar Sankranti. The Pitha lovers like to eat different kinds of Pithas like vegetable Pithas, daal Pithas, coconut Pithas, sweet Pithas, and also Namkeen Pithas. 

Rice flour is the major ingredient of Pitha. It is made by the steaming process. Even though it is a dish that is prepared on common days also but when Pithas are made in Makar Sankranti, some rituals are done before it, and it is prepared in a traditional way.


Kitchdi



Khichdi- I am sure you have heard this name many times before. Khichdi is not only delicious but nutritious also. Many times Khichdi is offered to God also. At that time, it is prepared without adding onions and garlic.

Many nutritious ingredients like Dal (pulses), rice, different kinds of vegetables, dry fruits, and spices are added to prepare Khichdi. Almost all Indians like to have it. Doctors also prefer Khichdi to the patient many times. It is cooked in a very simple method. All ingredients are added altogether into the boiling water, then stir it frequently until cooked. Then add spices and salt according to the need of the people.


PUA


Pua- Pua is a kind of sweet dish as well as a traditional dish also. It is prepared in a conventional way. It basically is made of Maida, Suji, jaggery or sugar, dry fruits, etc.

Pua is generally prepared on the occasion of Holi. Apart from this, according to the wishes of the people, it is also cooked on the other occasion.


Dahi bada


Dahi Bada- Dahi Bada is also a traditional dish of India. Dahi means curd and Bada means pakoda. Along with being common, it is also a special dish.

It is common because it is cooked in almost all homes on the occasion of the Holi festival, and it is special because it is made especially on the Holi festival. Curd is used to prepare it. And Dal (pulses) like Urad and Moong is used to prepare Bada.

Dal (pulses) are soaked for four to five hours in cold water then ground and fried in mustard oil making small pakoras, and then added salt and some special spices on it.

Dahi Bada is good for the stomach because no harmful ingredients are used to prepare it.

Indian culture has been preferring vegetarian food since the beginning. in Indian scriptures and epics, only vegetarian food has been mentioned more. Even though there is no dearth of non-vegetarianism in India today. But only vegetarian food has been recognized in Indian culture. People of many castes and religions live in India. All religious people follow their own culture and tradition. Thus vegetarian food is given priority in Hindu culture, whereas Muslims and Sikhs like to eat non-vegetarian food the most.
