Do you know why? Because such manners help to forget all kinds of resentments, complaints, enmity very easily. Whenever someone is angry with you, if he/she is elder than you, pick up a pinch of Gulal and put it on his/her fit. And do Pranam by touching feet, then hug him/her, you will find that he/she forgot all kinds of resentment. But if the person is younger than you, and he/she is angry with you, pick up some Gulal and apply gently on the forehead or cheeks of his/her. Then you will get, there is magic is happening. He/ she forgot every complaint within a minute.

All people even though play with colours and water but there is a legend behind Holi. Holi gives the message of love, Unity, Brotherhood as well as the victory of good over evil also.

Holi occurred in Hindu culture when Lord Vishnu came to earth with the incarnation of Krishna. Krishna used to play colours with his beloved Radha but the festival of Holi started even earlier when Lord Vishnu came on earth with his other incarnation of Lord Narsimha a combined body of human and lion.

He had a sister named Holika. They both were empowered with different powerful boons. Holika had a boon of not burning in fire and Hiranyakashipu had a boon that he can never be killed by any weapon. And not by any human and nor by any animal. That's why Vishnu had to get that incarnation of Lord Narasimha (who was neither human nor an animal) and he killed him with his big Nails. And in another hand, Holika had a boon that she can never be burned in the fire but still she got died with fire when he tried to kill Prallahad the 7 years old son of Hiranyakashipu. That was because he was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu. And this was unbearable for him. So he ordered his sister to kill his son by sitting on fire with Prahlad. But when he escaped alive from this conspiracy of his father, only because of his goodness and power of his devotion. That incident demonstrates the victory of good over evil.

How should we celebrate Holi?

Holi is a beautiful festival of colours. All festivals bring happiness to us. Therefore, in this moment of joy, no one should do anything that would spoil happiness. Even though Holi is a festival of colours but still many of us do not like colours. Therefore such kinds of people never should be applied colour forcefully. Because such kinds of activity create an unwanted situation.

Animals whether pets or stray should never be put colours on them. There is respect and delicacy that must be followed while the senior citizens are going to be applying colours.

All festivals are for celebrating happiness so never ever should be miss behaved, so that no any kinds of Miss happenings would occur in happiness.

Wishing a very Happy Holi to all of you.
