The name Skandamata literally means “Mother of Skanda,” symbolizing motherhood, compassion, and divine protection.

Who is Goddess Skandamata?

According to Hindu mythology, Goddess Skandamata is the motherly form of Goddess Parvati, holding her son Lord Skanda in her lap.
