When will Chaitra Navratri be celebrated in 2025?

Navratri is celebrated twice in a year and for nine days, Once in the month of March-April in the Gregorian calendar and in the month of Chaitra in the lunar calendar and secondly, in the month of September-October and in the Sharad month or Ashwin month in the lunar calendar. Thus the navratris are also respectively known as Chaitra Navratri and Sharad or Sharadia Navratri. This festival is dedicated to Goddess Durga.
Date, Day and Muhurat
The first day of Navratri is called 'Kalashthapna' which falls on the 30th of March i.e. Sunday.
The muhurat : 6:15 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. The last day of Navratri or the Navami falls on the 7th of April.
Celebrations of Chaitra Navratri
Chaitra Navratri celebration is based on fasting and worshiping of Goddess Durga. Many devotees place a Holy Kalash and chant Durga Chalisa or Chandi path which is considered more powerful as well as critical. Therefore, some devotees place a image of goddess Durga and sing Aarti of Maa Durga. Consuming of non-veg is strictly prohibited during Navratri days. Many devotees like to eat Satwik Bhojan ( food without garlic and onion) only.
Significance
Chaitra Navratri ends with Kanya Pujan. 9 little girls are fed with Puri, Halwa, Chana sabji, Kheer etc, and are gifted with many things Chaitra Navratri is also known as Vasant Navratri. Chaitra month is the first month of the new year in the lunar calendar. The first day of the Navratri falls in the first day of the Chaitra Masa. Thus the new year begins with 9 days of turning with prayer, meditation, and chanting mantras of Goddess Durga.
