The world's first Vaidic clock will be installed in Ujjain, an ancient city in Madhya Pradesh. It is to be installed in a Tower that is 85 feet high.

PM Modi will inaugurate this Clock on 1st of March 2024. 

The special features of the Vaidic clock:

* The Vaidic clock will provide information about 

  * Tithi

  * Hindu festivals

  * The position of the planets 

  * Astrological calculations 

  * Solar and lunar eclipse 

  * Major holidays, etc.

* It will display also the (IST) Indian Standard Time and (GMT) Greenwich Mean Time. 

 *The time period of the clock will be calculated between the times of two sunrises in Ujjain. Thus, Ujjain will be considered the center of time calculation.

* This Vaidic clock project will make people familiar with the Vaidic time calculation. The Rs 1.62 crore has been allotted for this project by the government.

* The citizen can get the advantage of the Vaidic clock through their mobile phones, smartphones, televisions, computers, and other electronic gadgets.
