It has been found after many analyses, children do not like writing work. If you ask them the reason, they say, it is merely a waste of time. But we elders know it very well that writing practice is a must. Because good scoring in exams depends upon one's writing skills only.

How to teach writing in the early stage of a child

Children do study well as much as they can, without doing practice, they can't write properly. But the biggest issue is to convince them to write. I have already written an article on this respective topic, "5 ways to motivate your child to write". 

A parent can convince their child by applying these methods.

* The most effective method is to write anything by the parents in front of their children. 

How important is writing for children?

Most children often get inspired to do anything whether 'good' or 'bad', by watching their parents. They do copy their parents' from their childhood. They try to adopt the things of their parents which inspire them the most. In the same way, if parents want to increase the writing skill of their children, they themselves have to increase their writing work. Then maybe the children would be influenced by them and start writing.

How to teach writing to your children in their early stage? 

* Involved yourself in the study of your children. 

If it is possible, you too sit with them while they study. And insist on them to write the things which they have learned. Sometimes you dictate anything and let them write, doing such things on a regular basis, would increase the writing skill of your children.

* Make writing a habit for your child.

Habits can't be made easily or in a single day. It takes constant practice to make a habit of something. Therefore, if you want to get your child used to something, you too have to strive a lot. And sometimes, you too have to do the things with your child. Like,

* If you want your child to wake up early then you too would have to wake up early every day.

* If you want your child has used to reading books then, first of all, you would have to make a habit of reading books.

So, you get a habit of writing, your childhood influenced by you and would start writing.

* Give your child a writing task every day. 

The things which they learn, say them to write. If your sayings do not work, then do render as a test, put some marks also for them. Do such things periodically, you would notice this method is working. Because children mostly take tastes and exams seriously.

* Give your children their favorite story to write

If your children have any favorite story, favorite cartoon, or favorite book, then say to your child to write them in their own words or you detect them and let them write. This process, on a regular basis, would help to increase the writing skill of your child.

* For increasing the writing skills reading is also very important 

one can learn to frame the sentences through reading books. Even though children run away from reading as well, you have to insist on them to read the chapters of their own syllabus at first, then other interesting books also.

One can read anything without knowing to write, but no one can write even a sentence as well, without knowing to read books.

Although reading and writing both are important yet we can say that reading is more important than writing sometimes.

* Increase the vocabulary of your child 

It is also a prominent factor to increase your child's writing ability. Give your children a task to learn at least 15 words with their spellings and meanings per day and tell them to make a list of words in a separate and fresh notebook and advise them to keep safe the Notebook. Because it is like a treasure.
