New Updates on Kolkata Doctor Rape and Murder Case: The Supreme Court Itself took Congnizance Today

What step did the supreme court take on the Kolkata doctor rape and murder case?

Seeing the anger of the people across the country the Supreme Court itself took cognizance today. The Supreme Court asked the West Bengal government and its administration:

* Why was the truth hidden from the victim's parents?

* Why did it take so long for the hospital to file an FIR?

* Was an attempt being made to destroy all evidence during this time?

The Supreme Court said that it was deeply concerned that the victim's name and photo were across the country. Apart from this, it has issued a Special Task Force to ensure the safety of the doctors and also said that all the videos and photos revealing the Identity of the victim should be removed.

The next hearing of the case will be on August 22nd.

A status report has been sought from CBI by August 22nd and a report on the incident has been sought from the state government. 

The responsibility for the security of the hospital was given to CISF by RG.
